Apple Pie Bombs

Whoa baby- I have the easiest way to get your apple pie fix without having to bake an entire pie. These Apple Pie Bombs are made in muffin pans and uses the leftover ingredients that you may have from your baking. Even if you do not have leftover pieces of refrigerated pie crust you can simply purchase a package of refrigerated pie crust and cut into 2-inch strips with a pizza cutter.

These small bites are the perfect portion to satisfy your sweet tooth. I used the apple pie filling I made awhile ago, but you can easily use a peach or raspberry filling as well.

Apple Pie Bombs

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg refrigerated pie crust and cut into 2-inch strips with a pizza cutter

1 -1/2 cups Apple Pie Filling (homemade or store bought)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 425.

Spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray.

Place 2 pieces of pie crust in each muffin tin, overlapping the pieces like a plus sign.

Add 2 TBSP of apple pie filling in each muffin tin.

Fold the extra pie crust over the top of each apple pie filling.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden.

Let cool completely before removing from muffin pans.

 

That is it- so simple and what a delicious way to have the apple pie taste without making an entire pie. These are so good – perfect for small get togethers or even special occasions.
