Tiramisu is by far my favorite dessert to order in a restaurant. This recipe is a take off on a basic tiramisu filling but using blackberries, my favorite summer berry!
They look super cute in their mason jars and would work really nicely for a summer dinner party, friends over, etc. because you can make the a head and the actually taste better if they sit in the fridge overnight!
Lady fingers can be sometimes hard to come by. When I find them in the store I usually pick up a few packages and freeze what I am not immediately going to use!
1 container Marscapone cheese- (I used the coffee flavored variety but you could use the non flavored version)
1 small container Whipping Cream
1/3 c sugar
1 pint Blackberries
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 pkg. Lady fingers
1- Using an electric mixer with the whisk attachment, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks occur.
2- Add in vanilla and Marscapone cheese. Mix until incorporated.
3- Place 4 Lady Fingers in the bottom of the mason jar.
4- Top with Cream filling and a few blackberries.
5- Create another layer of lady fingers and cream filling.
6- Top with blackberries and refrigerate until serving.
