Our children love Peeps. No matter what the shape or flavor they really enjoy them. To be honest I don’t like Peeps but I am definitely the odd man out in our home. I do think they make really cute additions to cupcakes or even s’mores. Jazz up your indoor s’mores making with these cuties.
How to color coconut
Coloring coconut is super easy but I recently found out that many people were not aware how to color coconut. It takes just 3 easy steps.
- Put the coconut into the zippered bag.
- Add 3-5 drops of green food coloring to the coconut in the bag.
- Shake well, until all of the coconut is coated and is green.
Easy and simple plus it is a nice way to add some color to your cupcakes. A little food coloring goes a long way.
Cute & Easy Spring Cupcakes
Ingredients/Supplies:
2 dozen white cupcakes, unfrosted
1 can vanilla frosting
1 cup coconut
green food coloring
24 Peeps Chicks
Small zippered bag
Directions:
Put 3-5 drops of green food coloring into the frosting, stir well until all of the frosting is green.
Put the coconut into the zippered bag.
Add 3-5 drops of green food coloring to the coconut in the bag.
Shake well, until all of the coconut is coated and is green.
Place a Peeps Chicks in the center of frosted cupcake.
Sprinkle green coconut on the top of the cupcake, around the Peeps Chicks.
Making desserts for Easter and other spring parties doesn’t have to be hard and these cuties will definitely be a hit on any table this season.
