Unilever is launching “Rinse, Recycle, Reimagine.” A new program designed to educate people about recycling in the bathroom. They have partnered with the Ad Council and Keep America Beautiful to inspire what empty bathroom products could become through recycling.
I know what you are thinking, I recycle my cans, bottles and newspapers, what more can I do? Think about how many bathroom products that you could recycle as well. Shampoo, conditioner, lotions, and body wash bottles. 1 in 5 American have more than 10 bathroom products in plastic bottles at any given time. With just a rinse and a recycle these empty plastic bottles can take on a new life and return as hairbrushes, backpacks or even a backyard play set!
These bottles are contributing to the nearly 29 million tons of plastic sent to landfills each year. By simply making a small change and recycling these bottles you can potentially make a big impact on the environment.
Spread the word!
Share photos of your bathroom empties being recycled on Instagram and Twitter using #ReimagineThat. If you add #Sweeps to your post you will be entered to win recycled, remained prizes.
