Ingredients
2
sticks unsalted butter
room temperature
1
cup
sugar
1
cup
light brown sugar
1
TBSP
vanilla extract
2
eggs
3
cups
flour
1
teaspoon
baking soda
1
teaspoon
salt.

12 oz milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Spray 2 9-inch cake pans and set aside.
In an electric mixer bowl, cream the butter and sugars together until light and creamy (5 minutes)
Add eggs, one at a time until combined.
Add vanilla and flour, salt and baking soda and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pans (half in each)
Bake for 30 minutes.
Cool completely and then decorate with icing if you choose.
