Best Banana Cake Recipe
This is the ultimate in banana cake. I love to serve this cake for breakfast with butter. It is rich and creamy and a great way to use up your ripe bananas
- 1 stick butter unsalted, room temperature
- 1-1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3 ripe bananas mashed
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1-1/2 cup sour cream
- ½ cup applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 TBSP cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 and spray a bundt pan with non-stock spray.
In the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar together.
Add the eggs one at a time until combined.
Add the bananas, sour cream and applesauce, mix.
Add the dry ingredients and the vanilla until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 60 minutes.
