Red Velvet Donuts
An easy recipe for red velvet donuts that you can bake at home.
Ingredients
Yield: 9 donuts
Ingredients:
1 1/4
cup
all-purpose flour
1/2
tsp
baking soda
1/2
tsp
salt
2
tsp
cocoa powder
3/4
cup
granulated sugar
1/2
cup
milk
1/2
cup
canola oil
1
large egg
1
Tbsp
red food coloring
2
tsp
vanilla extract
1/2
tsp
vinegar
Frosting:
1
cup
powdered sugar
2
oz
cream cheese
1
tsp
vanilla extract
1
Tbsp
milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a donut pan with baking spray.
In an electric mixer bowl, add all the wet ingredient and combine.
Next add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and combine for about 2 minutes. Scraping down the sides of the bowl every 30 seconds.
Pour into prepared pan, about 3/4 full.
Bake 10 minutes- let cool in the pans for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
Cool completely before frosting if desired.
For the frosting - combine all the ingredients fully until smooth.Drizzle or dip the tops of each donuts in the icing.
