Fluffernutter Squares with Marshmallow Cream Icing
Fluffernutters are a recipe with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. I swoon for this delicious dessert bar. I mean what could be better than peanut butter and marshmallows!
Ingredients
For bars-
¾cupunsalted buttermelted
1cupbrown sugar
½cupsugar
2eggs
1TBSPvanilla extract
¾cupcreamy peanut butter
1tspsalt
1-1/2cupsflour
½cuppeanut butter chips
For icing –
½cupunsalted butterroom temp.
1cupmarshmallow fluff
2cupspowdered sugar
Instructions
Grease and line a 9” x 13" casserole pan and set aside.
In an electric mixer wth the paddle attachment combine the sugars and butter.
Add the eggs, vanilla and salt and mix. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl as you go.
Add the peanut butter and incorporate.
Add the flour until just combined.
Fold in the peanut butter chips.
Spread into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes. **Do not over bake or the bars will be dry.
Cool completely before frosting.
Make the frosting – Blend together all the ingredients for the marshmallow icing in an electric mixer.
