Homemade Bread Pudding – Just Like Grandma’s

Homemade Bread Pudding – Just Like Grandma’s

This recipe for yummy bread pudding is made with a few simple ingredients and tastes just like Grandma’s! Well except without raisins. I can’t do raisins!

How to Make Bread Pudding

There is nothing more comforting then a warm bowl of bread pudding. I have a few recipes on the blog for bread pudding, one that uses croissants! It is extra buttery and delicious.

Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

1 loaf challah bread, cut into 1-inch pieces

5 eggs

1 cup sugar

4 cups milk or heavy cream if you are feeling indulgent

1 TBSP vanilla extract

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.

Place the bread in the baking dish as evenly as possible.

In a large bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients together and pour over the bread. Allow the bread to sit and soak up the mixture for about 15 minutes.

Bake for 45-50 minutes. Remove from oven, serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

I like to make this recipe ahead of time and leave it in the fridge and simply microwave when you want a bowl of delicious bread pudding. This is a great recipe to make for a holiday as well because you can make it the day ahead of time, I almost thinks it tastes best the next dance so the flavors have a little more time to marry together.

Happy Baking!
