Adorable End of Year Teacher Gift

Disclaimer: I received product to facilitate this post

End of the school year is here and what do you get for the teacher that has taken care of your babies everyday? I know not everyone is on the same page about giving teacher gifts but believe me ( I am a teacher too!) we love them!

I like giving a homemade gift with a gift card as well to say thank you for all their hard work all year long. These adorable rain boots will make the perfect pencil or pen holder for their desk all year long. They are so cheery and bright and easy to make.

On a side note, I came up with this idea because my daughter wears a bow every day- yes everyday. I admit I started it when she was a baby but she loves them and won’t leave the house without them. As she is 5 I am going to enjoy it while it lasts because let’s face it, I know she won’t wear a bow forever, maybe?!  I thought the bows on these boots would remind them of my daughter when they looked at them on their desks.

DIY Rain Boot Pencil Holder

1 or 2 ceramic rain boot planters from Oriental Trading

Spray Paint

Ribbon

Hot glue

Directions

Spray the boots with gold spray paint until covered and let dry.

Cut the ribbon to the length of the top of the boot.

Hot Glue to boot.

Make a bow and hot glue to the back of the boot.

These make the perfect pencil holders to grace any teachers desk. I actually made one for myself too. Fill with pencils, pens, highlighters, or what ever you might like. You can also pair them  with a packet of seeds for them to use as a small planter as well. Another thought is that you can add some soil and add a few succulents. The possibilities are endless and your teacher will thank you, promise!
