Best Blondies and Brownies Recipe – in my humble opinion




I think these are the best blondies and brownies recipes ever! It is so simple, using few ingredients and you can mix in anything that you have on hand that you like. I used some leftover M&Ms and some walnuts that I had left in the pantry.



They both come out moist and delicious and will become a staple recipe you will use. The kids will even like these delicious beauties!



Blondies

8 tablespoons  butter, melted
1 cup light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla 
Pinch salt
1 cup all-purpose flour



  1. Butter an 8×8 pan
  2. Mix melted butter with brown sugar – beat until smooth. Beat in egg and then vanilla.
  3. Add salt, stir in flour. Mix in any additions (if wanted, some ideas below)
  4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F 40 – 45 minutes, or until set in the middle.  Cool on rack before cutting them.

Possible mix-ins: chocolate chips, m&ms, nuts, dried fruit, etc.




Brownies

1-1/2 sticks butter, melted
1 -3/4 cup sugar
3 arge egg
1-1/2teaspoon vanilla
Pinch salt
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 
1/3 cup all-purpose flour


  1. Butter an 8×8 pan
  2. Mix melted butter with sugar – beat until smooth. Beat in egg and then vanilla.
  3. Add salt, stir in flour and cocoa.
  4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F 40 – 45 minutes, or until set in the middle.  Cool on rack before cutting them.
Which is your favorite? We can’t decide in our house. Yum!
