Christmas Cookies – Magic Layer Bars

There is nothing better than baking for the holidays and these magic layer bars are the first ones to go from the cookie trays. These Christmas cookies are ooey and gooey and sweet and delicious.

Christmas Cookies – Magic Layer Bars

 

We love these bars and the combination of coconut and chocolate is divine. Everyone will be asking you for the recipe for these magic layer bars.

Coconut, Chocolate Chip and Sweetened Condensed Milk Bars

Ingredients

1-3/4 cups graham crackers

1 stick unsalted butter, melted

1 TBSP sugar

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup sweetened coconut flakes

1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk

 

 

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Grease an 8-inch baking dish and set aside.

In a small bowl mix together graham cracker, sugar and butter until combined.

Press into a baking dish.

Add a layer of chips.

Add a layer of coconut.

Pour the condensed milk over the top until everything is covered.

Bake until the edges are brown about 25- 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Cut into pieces and store in the refrigerator.

Remove from refrigerator prior to serving for at least one hour. These bars taste best at room temperature.
