We love to spend our time outdoors during the summer- grilling, playing and hanging out with family and friends. While we spend most of our time down by the pond- we still need to eat! I love marinating and cooking steak on the grill when it is hot outside because then I do not have to turn the oven on in the house.

Grilling this delicious and easy marinated London broil steak to be served with shrimp cocktail and an easy sauce made with HERDEZ® Salsa Casera. Not only is this recipe to easy make but it is makes for great family meals and easy sharing.

My trick for marinating and preparing the London broil is to slice the steak against the grain on an angle first and toss in a container with Italian dressing. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. This steak is delicious after grilling and has just the right amount of flavor.

Homemade Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients

½ cup HERDEZ® Salsa Casera

1 cup diced fresh tomatoes

1 lemon

Instructions

Combine the salsa and tomatoes in a food processor.

Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into the bowl and pulse.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

This sauce is the perfect combination with steak and shrimp. I love using HERDEZ® Salsa Casera because it contains authentic flavors and it is a delicious salsa. It is delicious and has just the right amount of spice.

This will easily become a go-to recipe in your home. We have a container of this homemade cocktail sauce in the refrigerator at all times because you never know when company will be coming over. We eat and entertain as much as possible outdoors while the weather allows because before you know it, the snow will be coming.
