Cotton Candy Slime

diy cotton candy slime

My daughter and I have been busy making all types of slime. We made this pink and blue cotton candy slime this past weekend and she was in love with the results. We loved the color of this slime and the addition of lotion makes this slime smooth.

Pink and Blue Cotton Candy Slime Slime

This slime is soft and adding the fake snow gives this pretty slime a sugary texture. My daughter has been playing with this beautiful slime non-stop for days! If you are looking for different colors simply swap out the food coloring choices to make your cotton candy the color you desire.

Cotton Candy Slime

Ingredients

4 oz clear glue

1 tsp baking soda

2 tbsp contact lens solution

1 drop each blue and pink food coloring.

1/2 cup fake snow

Directions

In a small bowl pour in glue, mix baking soda until dissolved.

Add the food coloring and combine.

Add the snow.

Slowly pour in the contact solution and stir until the slime forms.

Once the slime has formed, pick it up in your hands and continuing mixing until soft and pliable.

We are totally digging all the different kinds of slime there is and we love playing with slime too. This recipe with the contact solution seems to be the best for a no-fail slime option. We tried creating slime with detergent and liquid starch and the results have not been as good.

We have been hit with the slime bug for sure! We now have been making a different slime recipe each day and we can not wait to share our new creations with you! Embrace the creative slime frenzy and bond with your children over the process of making slime.

I had my daughters undivided attention for a few hours while we made slime and talked. It really was a great activity and we had so much  playing and experimenting with slime.
