As summer is quickly descending upon us, I cannot be more excited for all of our adventures to begin. As a full time teacher, I look forward to spending as much quality time with my children over the summer as possible. We are constantly on the go and spend most of our time outdoors.
As my children do not really eat well for me outside of the home, we usually try to eat lunch first before we leave for our afternoon activity. On my last trip to Target, I noticed that they carried Goldfish® Special Edition! Cheddar Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory Crackers. My little ones were so excited to see their favorite characters on their favorite snack box. I love that the special edition colors of Goldfish crackers are sourced from plants. These are the perfect addition to our lunchtime meal.

Another new item that we found in Target that day was that Campbell’s has three different Disney Pixar Finding Dory themed labels. They are so adorable with Dory, Nemo and Hank showcased. As a mom, this soup features fun new pasta shapes of my kids’ favorite characters and have no MSG added, so my children and I will enjoy these throughout the summer as part of our meals.

We have a pond that is readily available for us to play, swim and boat in (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) so it is important for me to pack up our belongings in totes that can withstand our activities. When packing, I want to be able to find my things as quickly as possible. I cannot tell you how many hours I have wasted to trying to find my keys or cell phone in the bottom of a beach bag.
Although I may be crafty I am by no means great with a needle and thread. I love using colorful placemats to make no-sew clutches that are perfect to slide into a beach or pool bag. These could also be good to slip into a backpack for day at an amusement park or hike.
Easy, no-sew summer clutch
Materials:
Material placemat, iron-on adhesive, snaps
Instructions:
Put placemat, right side facing down on table.
Cut two piece of adhesive on each side of the placemat, 2/3 of the way up.
Iron each side and fold material up and secure along the hot glue. Press and hold until dry.
Place a snap on each side of the fold.
