DIY Freezing Herbs

Summertime is the perfect time to grow your herbs for the year! You can freeze a variety of different herbs and I am going to share with you how I freeze my herbs.

I grow Basil, Rosemary, Parsley, Cilantro and Thyme every summer. I love that my plants usually produce enough that I have herbs for the rest of the year! When I harvest my herbs, I usually pluck the leaves of the basil, and whole stems of all of the other herbs. Once I bring them inside I wash them and let them dry on a dish towel. Once they are dry I place them in Ziplock bags. (Each herb in its own bag) and then they journey to the freezer.
I love being able to pullout it fresh herbs all year round and not have to pay top dollar for them in the supermarket when they are out of season.
