Easy How to Roast a Turkey this Thanksgiving

Do you have to make a turkey this Thanksgiving for your family and friends? Follow these easy steps to  make a moist and delicious turkey every time! For this recipe I used a 10 pound turkey and it cooked for approximately 3-1/2 hours.

Directions
1-Use a refrigerated turkey or if using a frozen turkey follow the products’ directions on proper thawing technique.
2- WASH your turkey. Take out all of the innards (neck, gizzards, etc.) and then thoroughly was your turkey. Inside and out! Make sure that you are removing all bloody bits on the inside of the turkey otherwise your stuffing will taste bitter.
3- Pat your turkey dry and place in a roasting rack in a roasting tray. **Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
4- Place your stuffing in the cavities of your turkey and tie the legs together with twine. You may also have to tuck the wings under the turkey.
5- Meanwhile on the stovetop, melt 2 sticks of butter, with salt and pepper, julienned sage and rosemary. This will be used for basting.
6- Baste your turkey with the butter mixture thoroughly and place in the oven.
7- After  1 hour, pull out the turkey and baste. Rotate the turkey when placing back in the oven.
8- Cook for another hour and pull out the turkey and baste. If the skin is a golden brown, tent your turkey and put bake in the oven. Continue to cook your turkey and baste every hour until the internal temperature of the turkey is 180 degrees.
9- Let the turkey rest for at least a half hour before slicing.
