Easy Weekday Sausage Pasta Recipe

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®  & Lactalis American Group but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #MealSolutionMatch  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Fall is here and for me that means that I can incorporate all of my favorite ingredients into family friendly weekday recipe. There is nothing better than having a meal prepped and ready to go so that you only have to put it into a casserole dish and fire up the stove when you get home to heat up your dinner. This is one of my favorite recipes using Johnsonville Sausage, Barilla Pasta and Galbani Mozzarella Cheese that I purchased on my recent shopping trip to Stop & Shop.

Even though my recipe calls for cubed cheese,  Galbani Low Moisture Mozzarella cheese is great for shredding because the cylinder shaped cheese is more aligned with current customer usage. We slice and cube ours too- it is just as delicious!

This Sausage, Pasta, Broccoli and Mozzarella Cheese recipe is a family favorite. I usually prep this meal on a Sunday and leave it in the refrigerator until I am ready to use it. This way I only have 30 minutes of heating time which is perfect for the kids to get their homework done after school. My daughter loves Barilla pasta- we use it probably everyday in one shape or another and as Italy’s #1 brand of pasta, they must be doing something right!

Easy Weekday Sausage Pasta Recipe

Ingredients-

1 pkg. Johnsonville Sausage – cut into pieces

1 lb. box Barilla Pasta, cooked according to package directions (I used Farfalle)

1 pkg. Galbani Mozzarella Cheese – cut into cubes

2 broccoli crowns, cut into pieces

1 pkg mushroom, sliced

1 can cream of mushroom soup.

Directions

  1. In a large saute pan cook sausage until cooked through. Add some pasta water to scrape up the brown goodies at the bottom of the pan.
  2. Add broccoli and mushrooms to pan and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl add the contents of the soup and 1 can of water and combine.
  4. Toss in the sausage, broccoli, mushrooms and pasta until combine with soup mixture.
  5. Fold in mozzarella.
  6. At this point you can place in the refrigerator to cook at another time or preheat your oven to 350 and bake for 30 minutes.

I love using Johnsonville Sausage, Barilla Pasta and Galbani Mozzarella Cheese in many of my signature dishes. I love that Johnsonville Sausage is convenient and delicious- we always have a package or two on hand to use in our meals.

Next time you are at your local Stop and Shop be sure to grab Barilla Pasta, Johnsonville Italian Sausage and Galbani Cheese to make a dinner everyone will enjoy.
