Are you looking for an inexpensive way to distress and fray your own jean shorts? Jeans shorts that have the vintage look are very expensive. You can spend upward of $75 – $100 on a pair. If you have an old pair of jeans around, you can very easily make your own jean shorts. I simply distressed and frayed mine but you can add bleach to spots, add a brown dye to other areas for a truly unique look.

1- Start with an old pair of jeans and using a scissor cut the jeans to the height you want.
2- Using a blade or scissor, cut holes and slits on the jeans, pockets, sides.
3- Run through the washer and dryer for 2 cycles.
