Girls Day Out at The American Girl Cafe

So we did it! My daughter and I went to the American Girl Cafe this past week for the first time and I have to tell you we will be back. We were invited to The American Girl Cafe for Lunch and I was so impressed with the whole operation. From the decor and food to the hospitality and the gracious staff. It was worth every penny.

Is your daughter an American Girl fan? My daughter loves dolls and getting dressed up and she was so excited for this whole experience. We came from watch The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and the day could not have been more perfect.

New York City in December is a magical experience and I am so lucky that we were able to experience this together. The American Girl Shop is three floors of pure magic for your American Girl fan. You can find anything and everything here.

So on to the lunch- don’t arrive to early. They have set seatings for breakfast, brunch, etc. so you will not be able to check in until 15 minutes prior to your reservation. You really do need a reservation- they were booked solid when were were there. Once you are checked in you wait in another area of the store until they are ready to seat you.

The experience is magical- they have booster seats for your dolls and each doll receives a tea cup and saucer. (which you get to take with you)The napkin holders also doubled as hair ties- which you also got to take with you. The serves come around to take your order and drink order. They leave you with fresh cinnamon rolls and they were delicious. The next course is an assorted appetizer plate which was perfect for the two of us. We then received our main course- pasta for the princess and quiche for me. Both were large portions. Finally dessert- their signature chocolate mousse flower pot and a cookie. The mousse was rich and chocolatey- so good!

All in all we had a fabulous time and even though it was during the Christmas rush we did not have to wait long and were very well taken care of!
