How to Make Apple Cookies

Ingredients

½ can apple filling, chopped

1 cup brown sugar

1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature

1 egg

1-1/2 cups flour

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375.

Line baking sheets with silicon mats.

In an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment blend together all ingredients.

Refrigerate dough for at least 3 hours.

Drop by rounded teaspoons about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10 minutes until lightly brown.

Cool completely.

Simply dust these cookies with powdered sugar or they are perfect just out of the oven. My husband enjoys these cookies warm and baked for a little bit longer so they are a deep golden brown. I love the texture of a soft and chewy cookie so I enjoy them with the recipe made as-is.

Happy Baking!
