Homemade Gum Drops Recipe

I love gumdrops and my husband is infatuated with gummy bears, worms, sharks, etc. So while I was perusing the Internet I saw there were many recipes for homemade gumdrops. I do not have a silicon mold so I was not really expecting much from my attempts but I have to say they are quite delicious. You make these gumdrops or jellies from JELL-O and a few other ingredients so they could be made in all your favorite flavors.

I made a black cherry flavor on a 13”x 9” baking dish. I simply cut mine into squares but I am going to invest in a silicon mold and try them again because I think a thicker but smaller portion would be better.

Have you ever tried to make homemade gummies or gum drops? How did you make out with your versions? This recipe is made with applesauce… give it a try.
