I have been seeing these DIY pallet shelves all around the internet and I wanted to give it a try. We had a few pallets out back (slightly frozen to the ground) and it looked easy enough to do. I wanted to create these DIY pallet shelves to hang over our new refurbished butcher block in the kitchen. I enlisted my handy hubby to help.
Instructions
1. Find a pallet.
2. Mark off on the pallet where you wan to make your THREE CUTS. We used duct tape.
3. We were making three shelves from our one pallet. Keep in mind these shelves will not be completely identical as you are using a pallet to create them.
4. Make your three cuts using a saw.
5. We saved the extra pieces to put on the bottom of the shelves.
6. Clean up the wood (or paint/stain) Personally I love the rustic look.
