Keep Your Kids Fueled Up this Fall

Fall has got us running around like crazy here between ballet class and soccer practices and games it seems like we are in constant motion. The kids are always hungry and we are always on the go- don’t you love when that happens?

I try to pack everything the night before- and I mean everything! Clothes are laid out for school, lunches packed, after school clothes/shoes are ready and the snack bag- the wondrous snack bag is ready to go at all times. Lately we have it packed with CLIF Kid Zbar®, water, fruit and cheese.

My husband thinks it is a joke but the snack bag is always packed and ready to go with healthy snacks for the kids (and mom too!) CLIF Kid® makes nutritious snacks from organic ingredients that are specially-crafted for kids’ developing taste buds and active lives. My daughter really enjoys the chocolate chip or goblin chip variety. I know that no matter where we are running to she gets the nutrition that she needs. And because they are made with organic ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors (or synthetic preservatives) – I feel good providing my kids with this snack.

It is important for me to have the kids play outside more often than they are in the house especially now that school is back in session. They play sports, but we should not neglect creative playtime either. Take time out of each busy school week to get creative with your kids, allow them the time to have free-play, and watch their healthy habits grow.

I talk with my children all the time about staying active and making healthy choices. I think CLIF Kid exemplifies this thinking. Have a look at this CLIF Kid video.

I know that I am not the only parent that is constantly on the go. But I do know that for me being prepared takes the stress out of many of our afternoon activities. Trust me- pack your snack bag with CLIF Kid Zbar®, your kids will thank you for it!
