My Honest Review of Shakeology from Beachbody

First and foremost I am not a coach at BeachBody nor did I get paid for this review. This is my completely honest review of Shakeology and how it affected me. Let me start by saying I do not eat properly. There are days when I do not eat a lot and there are days when I do. Most days I do not eat breakfast, some days I was eating a can of sodium full soup for lunch and sometimes dinner and sometimes a snack. There really was no rhyme or reason not my eating habits.

When I turned 40, I noticed that things changed. My metabolism which has never been fast appeared as though it slowed down. Since I injured my back and had a spinal fusion I have been EXTREMELY limited on my exercise abilities and  I started feeling more tired. We are an extremely busy family. Some days we are pulled in so many different directions that we need to keep a calendar to keep things street.

So when I saw the commercial on TV for Shakeology and BeachBody 21 day fix I was intrigued. When I did some research about Shakeology and how it helps with your digestive system, I was hooked. You see I am one of those people who rarely uses the bathroom for waste. ( A little too much information I know- yet true and I know I am not the only one) So for that reason alone I was compelled to try it.

So I ordered a months supply of Vanilla Shakeology with the 21 Day Fix meal and exercise plan and hoped for the best. So first of all the taste. I like it, there is no after taste. I have been making a few varieties of shakes. My favorite is 1 cup Almond Milk, 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology, 1 tsp vanilla extract and a handful of ice mixed in a blender. Its delicious I add a tsp of Almond Extract once in a while as well as this has been my breakfast. I blend it up before I go to work in the morning and I drink it while I am at my desk. I honestly can say this has been great for me because I know I am getting nutrients and it keeps me full until lunch time. I have been eating  a small lunch of greek yogurt and granola and sometimes fruit. I feel great- no bloat and the best part? I have been using the bathroom EVERY DAY! Say what? its awesome- for those of you have some issues in that department you may want to give Shakeology a try simply for that benefit. Now I am not a nutritionist and its probably because I am on a routine but it works!

Does it make you lose weight? I don’t really have the answer for that just yet as I am 2 weeks in but I feel better and my stomach is definitely less bloated then before. However I am watching what I am eating.

So for right now- I recommend Shakeology. (again I am not a coach or getting paid nor do I receive the product for free) It makes me feel good when I drink the shake in the morning and that is a good enough reason for me to continue to drink it daily.
