Back to school is quickly approaching and for me it is a bit bittersweet. As a teacher, it means that my summer days filled with swims, gardening and movies are almost over and back to work! However it doesn’t mean that I am not going to fill these last few weeks with great events for my family and I.

This past week we went to see the NEW Ghostbusters movie that is now in theaters and we loved it! My littlest has been singing the “Who you gonna call?” all over the house, so I thought I would take a cue from our great day out at the movies and make these Ghostbusters – inspired popcorn balls.

You can’t see a movie without popcorn, right? So these delicious caramel popcorn balls will be perfect to send the kids back to school with their new lunchbags and backpacks. When I was in Walmart this week they had these adorable M&M’s® Milk Chocolate Bottles with Ghostbusters themed packaging, I knew my kids would love them.

In fact Walmart, had a great Back to School Display with all sorts of candy, from the Mixed Mini Variety Bag to M&M’s® Peanut Butter Bite Size Chocolate (Mom’s favorite!) and of course M&M’s® Milk Chocolate. I knew that I wanted to incorporate M&M’s® Milk Chocolate into my Caramel Popcorn Balls.
