Smores Pretzels

s'mores pretzel with chocolate, marshmallow and graham cracker

Make these Smores covered pretzels for your next picnic, bbq or get together. We love all things S’mores and have a variety of different recipes on the blog. These s’mores pretzel are the perfect treat.

Smores Pretzels

When making these smores pretzels I used a s’mores blend of mini marshmallows, mini graham crackers and chocolate chips that I found in the baking section of our local food store. You can easily use mini marshmallows (like the kind you find for hot chocolate) and crushed graham crackers too. We just used what we had on hand.

How to Make Smores Pretzel Treats (aka chocolate covered pretzel rods)

Ingredients

Pretzel Rods

1/2 chocolate melting wafers

½ cup white chocolate melting wafers

1 cup blend of mini marshmallows, mini graham crackers and chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate in microwave according to package directions.
  2. Dip the pretzel rod sticks into the melted chocolate, turning to ensure coverage.
  3. Melt the white chocolate (in 30 second intervals, stirring in between)
  4. Drizzle the white melted chocolate over the hardened chocolate.
  5. Place on wax paper and decorate with smores blend.
  6. Let cool completely.

S’mores Party Food

These come out so pretty and I love that you can make them ahead of time and just pack them up when leaving for your barbecue or get together. A perfect dessert table choice for a campfire themed birthday party or a boy scout/girl scout jamboree.

These would also look and taste fantastic for a bake sale. I would wrap 2 chocolate pretzels in a cellophane bag and tie with a ribbon and a tag.

I keep the finished pretzels refrigerated until party time just so they do not melt and make messy hands.

Happy Baking!
