Back to School … yup I said it. It is happening and as a teacher myself it is especially bittersweet. We are busy getting the kids ready to return to school with enforcing bedtime routines and school shopping, while getting myself ready to return to work after a beautiful summer home with my children.

One of my positions at school is the New Teacher chair. I love this job because it is kind of like a welcome wagon of sorts. It is my responsibility to make sure the new teachers are comfortable, have all the necessary paperwork and best of all a welcome gift. This is my favorite part of the job because as you know I love making things.

This DIY apple made from a terra cotta pot is an easy gift to make and give to a teacher at any time of the year. Holidays, Teacher Appreciation or Back To School are all times when a teacher loves to receive a gift. I filled this apple with some writing pads and my favorite Pilot G2 Pens.

Not only are Pilot G2 pens America’s number 1 best selling gel ink brand but they come in 4 point sizes and 15 vibrant colors. I keep a pencil case in my school bag at all times that are filled with these pens because I love how they write.

Best of all Walmart is offering a $0.75 coupon on any ONE 4-pack (or larger) of G2 Gel Ink pens.
