My children are 5, 9 and 16 and they have each been given a specific set of chores that they are responsible for. These chores vary from putting laundry away to feeding the dog. To be honest it makes our family function better and the kids really enjoy checking off their boxes. It gives them a sense of responsibility.

Teaching Responsibility with Chore Charts

One of the items on their chore chart is feeding the dog. They all really enjoy sharing the responsibility of our beloved dog Bella. She has quickly become an important part of our family since we rescued her from a pet shelter in St. Thomas a few years ago. Because she is an extremely active dog we make sure she eats a high quality diet. On our recent trip to PetSmart we picked up Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Peak™ Wetlands Recipe™ with Chicken, Duck & Pheasant and she absolutely loved it!

PEAK is a protein-rich food for dogs with nutrient-dense meats and Nutrish PEAK dry food for dogs contains 30% high-quality protein and 0% grains, glutens or fillers. Bella really enjoys the wholesome ingredients and the great taste.

We also picked up a triple pack of PEAK wet food that contained these three varieties: Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Peak™ Wetlands recipe with Chicken & Duck in Rustic Gravy, Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Peak™ Open Range Recipe™ with Chicken & Beef in Hearty Gravy, and Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Peak™ Wild Ridge™ Recipe with Chicken & Lamb in Savory Gravy. Every Nutrish PEAK wet food recipe is made with real chicken, combined with protein-rich duck, beef or lamb for a flavor your dog will love. Bella certainly could not wait for her dinner!

Kids Chore Chart

Each child has their own chore chart with spot to check off their completed tasks. We hang these chore charts in their bedrooms so they know what they have to do without reminding them a million times.

You can download a free printable here.

I love that their beds are made and clothes are put away without having to argue about it and I think they really embrace a sense of accomplishment when their chore charts are complete. Now if they could just stop arguing about who gets to feed the dog! Usually we take turns in the morning and afternoon but even then they find something to argue about- isn’t that how it always happens?

Our dog has been enjoying her meals with great quality ingredients and vitamins and minerals. Finding Bella has been a true blessing for our family and making sure she has the proper nutrition and care is something we all take great pride in. I purchased Nutrish PEAK at PetSmart and used this coupon for additional savings! You can use this locator on where to find Nutrish PEAK.
