This simple chocolate mousse recipe is perfection and I love how it gets almost a chip like texture to it- like my favorite cold coffee drink.
Simple Chocolate Mousse
I always have the ingredients for this recipe for easy chocolate mousse on hand in the house. You can also use up any chocolate that you have in the cupboards from Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, etc. Simply melt about 8 oz of chocolate in the microwave and fold into cold whipping cream- refrigerate and serve. I like to serve mine with a cookie and whipped cream- I know overload. But whipped cream is my favorite.

2 cups whipping cream
8 oz chocolate, melted
Directions
- In an electric mixer with a whisk attachment beat the whipping cream until thick with stiff peaks.
- Pour in melted chocolate and fold into the cream.
- Serve in cups and top with additional whipped cream, cookie or shaved chocolate.
