Ultimate Chocolate Brownies

Calling all chocolate lovers – these ultimate brownies with frosting is the perfect recipe to add to your recipe box. These brownies are similar to the Little Debbie Brownies that I used to covet when I was in elementary school.

Copycat Little Debbie Brownies

How much does your family like brownies? My family loves brownies so much that when we make a batch, they are gone within the same day. Plus the ones that have delicious frosting- they are usually gone before they are even cooled all the way!

Ultimate Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

For the Brownies
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons heavy cream

1 TBSP  vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour

For the Frosting
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 and spray with a non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

In an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butters and sugar until light and fluffy- about 5 minutes.

Add in the remaining ingredients until smooth.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool completely before icing.

To make the icing combine all ingredients in an electric mixer.

Spread the icing on the cooled brownies and top with sprinkle if desired.

These brownies are soft and fudgey and perfect for any celebration that you are having. We love having them for after school snacks or to bring to soccer games. There’s nothing better than a little chocolate to make everything right with the world.

Happy Baking
