There have been so many projects that I have seen online that I have wanted to try and have in my home but I did not have the elusive Cricut. I knew that this clever machine cut vinyl, fabric and more – I needed to get my hands on this machine. As an art teacher I was sure that there was so much more to this machine and the crafter in me could not wait to see it in action.
I was so excited when I found out that I was accepted into the Cricut Blogger Program and get this….. they were going to send me my very own Cricut Explore Air 2. Eek! So excited, but now the countdown to when it arrived.
The day finally arrived- my mint Cricut Explore Air 2 arrived. So now what, I was afraid to look to see what I needed to do to get this machine started. I was so surprised at HOW EASY it was to get this machine to work. All I had to do was unpack the machine, plug it in, attach a USB cord to my computer (our WIFI is not great) and download the Cricut Access plug-in. Bam! That is it.
This beauty came with a sample project that you could do or skip. I decided to see this machine in action. Oh my goodness, the precision cutting and writing – yes I said writing is unbelievable! I had no idea that this machine writes as well- with beautiful markers, now I really can’t wait to get this machine working. This project was just using a black marker but the nice people at Cricut sent me a whole set to use too! How nice is this little card? Adorable.
I am so excited to see what else my new machine can do- with all of the products I received as well as a year-long subscription to Cricut Access, the possibilities are endless. I have my eye on an adorable Mermaid image – stay tuned for another great project soon.
