I am having so much fun with my new Cricut Explore Air 2 machine. Hopefully you caught my easy mermaid tote a few weeks ago! I have been experimenting and learning how to use all the different functions of this fabulous machine and I am so amazed at what it can do. I created these stickers for my daughter’s books and school supplies for back-to-school. Aren’t they adorable? I made this whole project using the Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut Design Space.
Here is how to print then cut stickers on your Cricut Explore Air 2
Cricut Sticker Paper
In Cricut Design Space, insert image and search for cat clip art. Then add the image to your new file.
With the cat selected, change the icon from print to write and select the colors you want the cat to be. I used a teal and brown.
Next add a shape – I made my sticker a circle with a circle border too. So I added 2 circles, one that I changed to a write layer (teal) and the bigger one a cut file.
Next add type and change the color and change that to a write layer as well.
Arrange your different pieces onto the sticker.
Finally, select all the pieces of your sticker and choose Attach. This makes all of the pieces of the sticker into 1 file.
Choose edit and change the size to 1.5 inch.
Click Go and change the number to 20 and click apply.
Choose the size from the drop down menu and click Go.
Follow the prompts on the screen to make sure you are using the right color markers at the right time.
Isn’t that so easy? I love that there are so many options that are loaded into the Cricut Design Space that it makes it so easy to create any type of project you are looking to do. These stickers are so cute and will be perfect for all of my daughter’s different items she needs to bring to school in September.
The print then cut feature is amazing on this machine and I can’t wait to make even more projects with it! I think I will be designing my own t-shirts and school supplies for all of the kids.
