The Best Chocolate Sheet Cake with a Surprise Ingredient

 

The Dr. Pepper ads a bold flavor to this cake that is reminiscent of cinnamon and spices. Delicious!

Moist Chocolate Sheet Cake

 

Ingredients

2 eggs

¼ cup cocoa

1 cup butter, 2 sticks

1 can Dr. Pepper

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking soda

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

Yields: 1 sheet pan cake

 

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Spray a sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large saucepan, mix the Dr. Pepper, butter and cocoa together and heat to just a boil.

Add in the flour, baking soda, sugar and cinnamon and stir until moistened.

Add the eggs and transfer to the prepared pan.

Bake about 18-22 minutes.

Let cool.

Ice with chocolate frosting if desired. (we used ready-made)
