Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Cake– I mean seriously what could be better for a little boys birthday cake? My stepson was turning 6 this past month and he s a HUGE TMNT fan. W made hime TMNT cupcake toppers to bring to school too, so I wanted to make him an extra especial TMNT Cake too.
This was really very easy. I baked two chocolate cakes in pyrex bowls. I let the cakes cool overnight and the next day I frosted the two halves together so that it formed a ball.
Next, I put a thin layer of frosting around the whole cake. Next I tinted fondant green and rolled out a thin layer and placed it over the cake. Smoothing as I went. I then trimmed off the excess with a sharp knife.
I next tinted a small bit of fondant purple and rolled out a thin, long piece and created the mask.
So cute, don’t you think?
