Christmas Puppy Chow

This easy to make treat is sweet and salty and we loved not only making this snack mix together as a family but eating it too. This would make a great gift too, simply place in cellophane bags and top with a cute bow. Check out this Moose Munch for another delicious recipe for a great snack mix.

Holiday Snack Mix Recipes

Ingredients

4 cups Rice Chex

Assorted non-perils and sprinkles

2 cups Bugles

15 oz white candy melts

Red food coloring

15 oz dark chocolate

Directions

Melt the white candy melts according to the package directions. Add a few drops of food coloring and mix well until the candy is red.

In a large bowl, pour in the Bugles and the red candy mixture and toss to coat.

Spread out on a baking sheet to dry.

In a separate large bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave, add the rice Chex and toss to coat.

Add the red Bugles and toss to combine.

Spread out on another baking sheet.

Add the sprinkles, non-perils and more.

Completely cool.

Break apart and serve.

A fun and easy treat to make and honestly you can add whatever you like- popcorn, pretzels, candies and more. I like to keep it simple and using the Bugles is wonderful because they look like elf hats and what could be better around the holidays then elf  hats and chocolate.

I have so many great recipes for the holiday season from cookies and cakes and everything in between. So be sure to look for those too!

Happy Baking!
