Forest Bathing at The Lodge at Woodloch

I received a complementary forest bathing session and day spa pass in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own and yours may vary.

A certified forest bathing Instructor at The Lodge at Woodloch in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, encourages guests to connect with nature. The perfect way to relax, unwind and let nature heal you while letting the trees be your therapists.

What is Forest Bathing? (Shinrin-Yoku)

There is no literal forest bathing but instead fully immerse yourself into the beautiful deep woods surrounding The Lodge at Woodloch. You will feel relaxed and de-stressed the moment your certified instructor leads you in discovering the outdoor sounds and sights as you meander through the property.

We began our journey with a couple of light stretches and cleansing breaths as we slowly walked through the paths and fields. My certified guide and Naturalist, Josh had me completely at ease and encouraged participation. As we walked Josh picked up tree branches and herbs and pine needles for a tea that we would enjoy at the end of our session.

It was a blustery morning but it felt good to be outdoors in nature with the sun shining on my face and the smells of Spring beginning to start. I found my own sit spot that I could reflect on our adventure and my own private thoughts. I was able to watch a few ducks wade through the water, completely serene.

As our time was coming to a close, Josh had a beautiful tea setup in the clearing where we sat and had warm tea that he had brewed from the items he found along the way. I know what you are thinking but it was delicious!
