Pizza Cheese Ball Appetizer Recipe

Get ready for football games with this easy football cheese ball appetizer that you can make ahead of time and simply unwrap and serve with your favorite crackers or veggies.

Some of my favorite appetizers to make are ones that can be made ahead of time. When you are hosting a party, there is always so much to do the day of that it is nice to be able to take away some of the prep work.

Football Cheese Ball

If you like to entertain, this pizza cheese ball is the perfect appetizer to make and bring to your next get together. I love that you can make it ahead of time – it is actually better if you make it a day ahead of time so the flavors marry in the fridge.

I use pepperoni in this recipe but you can easily omit if you do not like it. Alter the crushed red pepper flakes depending on how much spice you like.

Loaded Pizza Cheese Ball

Ingredients

1 8 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

½ cup Parmesan cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

½ cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped

1 tsp Italian seasoning blend

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

½ tsp red pepper flakes

4 oz pepperoni, chopped

Directions

In a large bowl, blend all the ingredients together. The cheese blend will be thick to combine and that is the consistency you want.

Form the mixture in a ball and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Serve with crackers.

This loaded pizza cheese ball is the perfect appetizer for tailgating and book clubs and so many more. This recipe is so easy to make and honestly gets better the longer it sits. Please feel free to add in your favorite pizza toppings like olives, onions and more!
