Cranberry Almond Bread is a dessert or breakfast loaf with cranberries, almond and a bit of orange zest. I love this with a cup of coffee for breakfast.
How do you make Cranberry Almond Bread?
Making this cranberry almond loaf is really easy and I find that everyone enjoys the combination of ingredients. Personally, I like anything that has cranberries in it but you can easily swap blueberries as well for another delicious combination.
How to Make Cranberry Almond Bread
Ingredients:
½ cup sliced almonds, toasted
3 cups flour
3 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk, I used fat free
1 egg
1/3 cup oil
¾ tsp grated orange zest
1 cup dried cranberries, run your knife through them a few times
Directions:
Grease a 9” loaf pan and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350.
In a large bowl combine the egg, milk, oil, zest and extract. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix until moistened.
Pour into prepare pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Cool at least 10 minutes in pan before removing.
Can you freeze this Cranberry Almond Bread?
Yes! Which makes this dessert even better! I like to freeze as an entire loaf and then set out to room temperature to defrost.
