We are in the process of re-decorating our little girls bedroom. She loves everything pink and sparkly and frilly …. Which I totally love! In any event we are doing her bedroom in pink and gold and I want it to be girly but not so much little girly, if you know what I mean.
We found this neat zebra lamp at a yard sale a while ago and I love it but the lampshade was kind of blah. So I thought a shade with a rim of gold around the edge would be perfect and so easy to do. I think it came out great… what do you think?
Directions
- Clean the lampshade of any dust or debris.
- Using painters tape. Mask off the area you do not want to paint. Make sure you press down firmly on the edges so you get a nice, clean line.
- Place the lampshade on a piece of cardboard and using gold spray paint. Evenly coat until covered.
- Peel off painters tape and put the shade back on the lamp.
