Grinch Cookie Recipe
Resting Grinch Face Cookies
The holidays will be here before you know it and that means Christmas Cookies. We love to make large batches of cookies for friends and families and these Grinch cookies with a heart that is two sizes too small are the perfect addition to your cookie tray this year.
We used a green sugar cookie mix that we found at Walmart, but you could easily use a standard sugar cookie mix and add green food dye.
Grinch Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
1 pkg sugar cookie mix
Green food dye
½ cup flour
¾ cup unsalted butter softened
1 egg
1 TBSP vanilla
24 candy hearts
Prep time: 70 minutes
Cook time: 12 minutes
Cooling and setting time: 20 minutes
Yields: 24 cookies
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with silicon mats. Set aside.
In a large bowl, add the cookie mix, egg, flour, butter and vanilla extract. Add a few drops os green food coloring and mix to combine.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place gently on lined baking sheet. Press down slightly in the center of each cookie to make them flat.
Add a heart in the indent of each cookie.
Bake for 11 minutes and allow to cool.
