In our family a Christmas tradition is to have banana bread when we open our presents on Christmas morning. My Nana used to be the one to bake the banana bread,t hen my mother and now I bake. I’m going to share this holiday tradition with you.
Ingredients and Steps
Mix 1 stick of butter (softened) and 1 cup sugar with an electric mixer until combined.
Add 2 large eggs (beatened) and combine.
Spoon mix in 2 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt into the butter mixture.
In a separate bowl mash 4 medium very ripe bananas with 1 teaspoon baking soda.
Fold the banana into the other mixture u til combined.
Pour into a greased 9×13 loaf pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 75 minutes.
How long does banana bread last?
Banana bread can be frozen for up to 3 months. Banana bread can last for up to 4 days before you notice a change in texture.
