We live in the middle of the beautiful Pocono mountains, so we’re lucky enough to camp, hike and fish in our own backyard! The kids love the adventure.
We are so blessed to have a pond that we enjoy all year long. The spring is always a good time to go fishing and enjoy the fresh air after a long winter.
This past weekend the weather has finally warmed up enough to spend some quality time outdoors with the family with great food and fun, even Grandpa joined in!

Our family loves to head outdoors on the weekend and sometimes even after school. Our beautiful land has so much to enjoy with small creeks, hiking trails and places to fish. We love to play “I Spy” with the forest animals and nature. Sometimes we are even lucky to see a Bald Eagle, they are native to our location!
Doesn’t this sound like a wonderful afternoon? We sometimes will go to the Delaware River to walk along the edge, looking for smooth river rocks to take home for arts and crafts projects. The boys will skip stones and just relax and unwind. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful areas to explore right in our own backyard. I hope our children know how lucky they are to live in an area where we can quickly pack up a bag with food like DINTY MOORE® Beef Stew and head out.
My husband grew up here so he knows all the best places to fish, walk and explore. The little ones will collect natural elements like leaves, pine cones and more to bring home with us.
They have jars that they keep with all of their treasures. You really never know what you will find when walking in the woods. I think my favorite thing that my daughter has found was a stone that was shaped like a heart. Truly special. Life is about the moments that we share with each other, not the things that you can buy. I love that my children will reminisce about the little adventures we had, it makes my heart feel good.
