Due to the sheer popularity and nostalgia that the Mario franchise has brought us over the past few decades, it was only a matter of time until the other characters in the franchise got their own games. We’ve seen Luigi’s mansion and Toad’s treasure tracker, but now we get to see Princess Peach shine in Princess Peach: Showtime. An interesting game with an even more interesting theme, what if Peach was the star of her own play.

We get to follow Peach as she goes through a magical theater to defeat the evil Grape and the sour bunch who have taken over the many different stages of the theater. Joined by her new friend Stella, the theater’s guardian, they go from stage to stage in order to put a stop to the nefarious actions of the sour bunch.
Princess Peach: Showtime! Review
By stepping into the leading role, Peach is able to step into the spotlight and adapt to the sets around her to gain show stopping new abilities. From playing the part of a stealthy ninja to putting on a dazzling performance as a figure skater.

We see Peach dawn the role of a dashing thief to sneak past the enemy as well as becoming a superhero to defend the theater’s residents from the tyranny of evildoers. All this and more, we get to see Peach step into many different roles and personas in order for the show to go on.

All in all it is a pretty solid game with a fresh premise, as we get to see Peach traverse the many different levels and mini games in order to achieve her goal. Learn more from Nerds Worldwide.

With some good customization and fun power ups, it is nice to see Peach finally get a game for the Nintendo Switch. This is definitely a solid choice for anyone looking to expand their game library or for whoever is just a big fan of Princess Peach. But whichever kind of fan you are, this game will be a welcome addition to your own gaming experience.
