We love football in our home and watch games every weekend! My love of football started when I was in college and a member of the dance team. We performed at half time at awesome schools and it is definitely one of my fondest memories. There is nothing like being in a stadium with thousands of fans cheering on your favorite team unless you are at home watching the game on your television and eating great food.

We try to recreate that excitement at home by having people over to watch the games with us. Serving great food and having fun with our family and friends gives us something to look forward to on the weekends.

One of our favorite recipes to serve is Buffalo Chicken Sliders. I love that they are small enough that you can eat other things as well as my husband loves the spiciness. They are easy to make and the burgers can be prepared ahead of time so that you just have to cook them when you are ready to eat.

 

Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 tsp pepper

½ tsp salt

1/3 cup hot sauce

6 small potato buns

blue cheese dressing and pickle to top.

Directions

Combine chicken, seasonings and hot sauce.

Form 6 small patties.

Preheat oven to 350.

Place burgers in a baking pan.

Bake for 20 minutes or until done.

Place each burger on bun with extra hot sauce, blue cheese and a sliced pickle.

For me, weekends are all about family and friends and great food. While I may not be dancing anymore- I still enjoy myself when watching these football games.
