Summertime is coming up fast and for us it means many get-togethers with friends and family. There is nothing better than ice-cold beer, great music, awesome food and good friends.
My family loves music-we go to concerts all the time as we live so close to Bethel Woods the original spot of a famous music festival that now holds concerts. We also spend a lot of our time outside by our pond.
We love to have friends over before the concerts for some food and fellowship. My husband loves chicken wings and we have a secret Soy Ginger Wings recipe that we always serve when we have people over. These can be made bone-in or boneless. Don’t tell anyone that I am sharing this recipe!
The perfect pairing with these Soy Ginger Wings is an ice-cold Corona Light. I love their new Summer Cans and bottles and we always have them on hand. I appreciate that they contain only 99 calories, and are a perfect pairing for spicy and citrus-infused dishes.
Soy Ginger Wings Recipe
Ingredients
24 Wings
for glaze-
¼ cup honey
4 TBSP light soy sauce
2 TBSP grated fresh ginger
¼ cup water
1 tsp garlic powder
1TBSP black pepper
1 TBSP hot sauce
Parsley or sesame seeds for garnish, optional.
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place chicken wings on a baking sheet with a silicon mat in a single layer.
Bake until done about 50 minutes.
Meanwhile in a medium saucepan combine all the ingredients for glaze.
Stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes, sauce will reduce a bit.
Once the wings are cooked. Place them in a large bowl or bag and add the glaze, toss to combine.
Garnish with parsley or sesame seeds if desired.
These wings are so good and everybody loves them. Trust me you will want to make extras! Have plenty of Corona Light on hand too- it is the perfect golden light pilsner-style lager with a smooth taste and distinct hop flavor. Perfect for summer parties and dinners.
