The windows are open and the fresh air is streaming in – I love the new beginnings that every spring brings. Whether it be the new flowers out in the garden or the new fresh clean start after spring cleaning. I look forward to spring cleaning, I know I am probably in the minority but I feel like it’s a fresh start or a new beginning even inside my home.
On my last trip to Walmart, I noticed they had Philips Sonicare 3 Series Gum Health electric toothbrushes. I have never used an electric toothbrush before but I thought what a great item to upgrade to for myself this spring.
The ability to provide superior plaque removal along the gum line, this toothbrush can help reduce gingivitis up to 100% better than a manual toothbrush in just two weeks. Prefect timing – spring cleaning the bathroom and spring cleaning my mouth!
I love to incorporate fresh flowers into my home but they can definitely get expensive if you are getting your flowers from a florist. Personally I like to get whatever flowers Walmart has when I am there doing my weekly shopping. Some weeks it is tulips, carnations or roses, but no matter what they have I have a few tips for arranging those flowers like a pro. There is nothing better than a spotless bathroom with fresh flowers waiting for you.
Look for like colors.
While I am shopping, if the store does not have all the same flowers, I will look for different flowers in a similar shade. For example if they have white tulips but only have a bunch of 6, I will also pick up a package of white carnations or baby roses. I love to mix the different textures of other flowers but in the same hue. I was able to get two bunches of one variety of pink roses and a third in a different variation during this shopping trip.
Arrange in odd number groups.
I like to arrange my flowers in smaller jars, pots, cups etc. They always look better in odd groups 3, 5 or 7. If you are using large vessels you can arrange the amount of flowers held in that vessel in odd quantities. There is something to be said for a single beautiful bloom floating in water as well.
Use what you have on hand.
Never go out and buy something to hold your flowers. You can really use anything. I used a mixture of vintage tea cups and champagne glasses set in an odd number. You could use coffee mugs, mason jars, teapots, honestly whatever you have on hand that can hold water will work.
To assemble:
Add water to containers.
Cut the flowers according to the size of the vessel. I was using shallow cups, so I cut my flowers short.
Arrange the flowers by overlapping the stems in the vase to achieve the look you are going for.
Place your flowers on your vanity or table and enjoy.
I love how my flowers look on my vanity in my fresh and clean bathroom. My new Philips Sonicare 3 Series Gum Health electric toothbrush fits in quite nicely with its sleek design. I love that not only is my home going to put its best foot forward but so will I … well smile actually! On a side note – I am loving this toothbrush. It gets my teeth so clean and fresh, just what I one. If you have never tried an electric toothbrush before now is the perfect time to give it a try! Be sure to pick up yours the next time you are in Walmart!
