Summer is here so what to do with your kids?? We are going to do have a summer of old-school summer fun this year. We did not plan any large vacations for this summer, we are going to enjoy each other’s company, try to reconnect without electronics and go through our Summer Bucket List from A to Z.
Summer Fun with Kids from A to Z
We created this printable to help us think about fun things that we can do with the alphabet this summer. Some of our activities are easy like “Campfire with S’mores” while other like “Queen for the Day” may leave us wondering what we have signed up for!
We have a few small days away like overnight trips to a few waterparks, amusement parks and more but for the most part we are home with day camp activities and lazy days by the pond with watermelon, drinks and books.
I remember when I was younger and our days were spent on the beach all day, every day for the entire summer. First just swimming and playing in the sand then moving on to be a camp counselor at the beach.
This is going to be our summer as a family! My oldest is starting college in August and I truly can’t believe it. It is so true what they say- you only have 18 summers so enjoy them. Now that I am here, they don’t want to spend as much time with you and they are busy doing their own things.
So, when my youngest grabs my hand to walk down the street or wants a matching top-knot like Momma, I am enjoying every last minute of it because I know it won’t last forever. There will be a time when she is too busy with her friends and not want to spend as much time with me either.
So while the days are long, the memories will last forever, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Print out your own summer bucket list and make this summer your best one yet!
