Take a Break with a Good Book and Diet Dr Pepper

The winter months can be dreary but not if you take enough afternoon breaks! I decided I was going to take time for myself every day this year and I love to do that with a good book, some music and a great tasting drink.

Origami Book Mark

I love reading as a way to unwind but one of my biggest pet peeves is when I find the corners of books are ear-marked. There is nothing better than the smooth, crisp pages of a good book and I have an easy and creative way to keep them that way.

How to Make an Origami Book Corner

MATERIALS NEEDED

1 piece of square paper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Start by turning your paper upside down like a diamond.
  2. Fold bottom point up to meet top corner.
  3. Fold right point up to the middle point.
  4. Fold left point up to the middle point.
  5. Unfold both end points.
  6. Fold one half of middle point down to the bottom edge.
  7. Fold the right point back up to the middle point.
  8. Then tuck the end underneath the fold.
  9. Fold the left point back up to the middle point.
  10. Then tuck the end underneath the fold.
