This Underrated Colorado Vintage Store Is Packed With Rare Collectibles And Unexpected Treasures

More than 60 Colorado makers, artists, and vintage curators share one roof at this shop. The racks change daily, so the jacket you skipped on Tuesday could vanish by Wednesday.

The whole place started because a vendor waitlist grew too long to ignore. The owners solved it by opening an entire second shop devoted to vintage, which is my favorite kind of problem-solving.

About 90 percent of the businesses inside are women- and LGBTQ+-owned. Most of the clothing stays budget-friendly, while pricier tags usually mean something rare or handmade.

Well-behaved, leashed dogs can even tag along for the hunt. I believe the best treasure hunts happen where real people stand behind every shelf, so what exactly is waiting inside this corner storefront in a historic Colorado building?

Some businesses grow from a big plan, but Circa Vintage by Eclectic CO grew from a waitlist. Eclectic CO had so many vintage vendors hoping for space that the owners needed a whole new home for them.

That new home officially opened in August 2023. Eclectic CO owners Peri Bolts and Ani Barrington teamed up with founding partner Erica Rose to make it happen.

Erica also owns WayWay Co., a vintage goods business, so she brought serious secondhand know-how to the table. Think of it as a dream team for anyone who loves old denim and funky lamps.

The shop is a sister to two other spots run by the same crew. Eclectic CO began in 2018, and Eclectic OCC followed in November 2020.

So when you browse here, you’re seeing the next chapter of a story that started years earlier. Each shop has grown because local creatives kept showing up with more to share.

I like that the origin feels so practical and so personal at the same time. Too many talented vendors and not enough room is a pretty great problem to have, and shoppers are the ones who benefit most.

Sixty-plus makers, artists, and vintage curators all under one roof sounds a little chaotic. In practice, it means every few steps bring a totally new style and personality.

Each vendor curates their own selection, so one rack might lean seventies boho while the next leans nineties grunge. That variety keeps your eyes busy and your shopping basket guessing.

Every single one of these creatives is based in Colorado. Your money goes straight back into the local creative scene instead of disappearing into a giant corporation.

Here’s a fun detail that sets the shop apart. Roughly 90 percent of the businesses inside are women- and LGBTQ+-owned, which gives the whole place a strong sense of community.

Some vendors and artists actually work in the shop too. If a piece catches your eye, you might get to chat with someone who knows its backstory or made it by hand.

My advice is simple: slow down and explore each section, since the shop organizes merchandise by category rather than separating it into individual vendor booths. Rushing through means missing the small quirky item that would have been your favorite find of the year.

Take a second lap if you need to, because nobody’s timing you.

Vintage band tees, retro jackets, and dresses with real personality fill the clothing racks here. Clothing is the star of the show, and it covers a lot of ground.

Women’s vintage at Circa Vintage by Eclectic CO is known for being size-inclusive. That matters, because plenty of vintage shops only stock tiny sizes from decades past.

The guys aren’t left out either. The shop carries what it calls masculine finds, which means jackets, tees, and other pieces that don’t feel like an afterthought.

Accessories round out the look nicely. You’ll find shoes, bags, and jewelry ready to finish off whatever outfit you’re building in your head.

There’s also a section of new, handmade clothing mixed in with the vintage. So if old pieces aren’t your thing, you can still leave with something one-of-a-kind.

A quick tip for smarter shopping: try things on before you buy. Vintage sizing can be confusing, and a piece labeled medium from 1985 might fit very differently today.

Dressing rooms are there for a reason, so use them and save yourself a disappointing moment at home in front of the mirror.

Records And Retro Homewares Deserve Their Own Lap

Flipping through a crate of vinyl ranks among life’s most satisfying small activities. Luckily, records are one of the shop’s specialties, right alongside clothing and homewares.

Music lovers can spend a good chunk of time just digging for albums. Even if you don’t own a turntable, old album covers make surprisingly cool wall art.

Then there’s the home side of things. Eclectic home decor, retro-inspired pieces, and homeware items give your living room a chance to join the vintage party.

A funky planter or a quirky decorative piece can change the mood of a whole shelf. These are the kinds of items that spark questions from friends when they come over.

I can’t imagine leaving without at least checking these sections, even if you came for a jacket. Clothing gets the spotlight, but the home goods often hold the real surprises.

Bring a rough idea of your space before you shop. Knowing your shelf size or wall color helps you grab the right piece instead of guessing.

Measuring tape on your phone counts, and it might save you from a lamp that won’t fit anywhere at home.

Birthday coming up and zero ideas? The smaller shelves at this shop might rescue you faster than any online cart.

Handmade jewelry is a big draw, including earrings crafted by local artists. Each pair carries the maker’s personal style, so you won’t spot a twin at the mall.

Stickers, greeting cards, and stationery fill in the gaps for quick, fun purchases. These work great when you want something thoughtful without a big spend.

Art prints are another strong pick, especially for someone with blank walls. A print from a Colorado artist feels a lot more personal than a generic poster.

Artisan goods appear throughout the store as well. Because so many makers sell here, the handmade selection covers a wide range of styles and moods.

Here’s a practical move worth stealing. Grab a few small items whenever you visit and keep a little gift stash at home for last-minute occasions.

Future you will be very grateful the next time a coworker’s birthday sneaks up. It also beats a frantic drugstore run where the card choices are, let’s be honest, pretty grim and very forgettable.

Inventory at Circa Vintage by Eclectic CO changes daily. Vendors keep bringing in new creations and fresh finds, so the store never sits still for long.

That’s thrilling and slightly dangerous for your self-control. The perfect leather jacket you saw last week may already belong to someone else.

On the bright side, frequent visits always feel worthwhile. Stopping by once a month means you’ll basically walk through a different shop every time.

The vintage pieces span decades, with plenty of styles from the seventies through the nineties. Handmade items rotate in too, adding new colors and designs to the mix.

So what’s the smartest strategy? If something truly speaks to you, don’t wait to think about it for a week.

One-of-a-kind means exactly that, and there’s no warehouse in the back with extra copies. Make your decision while you’re standing there, and you’ll skip the regret of a missed treasure.

I like how this setup rewards curiosity. Every visit becomes a small adventure, and that keeps shopping fun instead of feeling like a chore.

Following the shop on social media can also give you a heads-up on fresh arrivals.

Clothing prices vary widely depending on the vendor, item’s condition, and rarity. The smaller slice that costs more usually earns it through rarity or handmade quality.

That balance feels refreshing in the vintage world. You can grab an everyday piece without wincing, then admire the rare stuff like a museum visitor with shopping rights.

The shop also takes a clear stance on sustainable fashion. It actively speaks up against fast fashion and encourages people to shop vintage and secondhand.

Why does that matter? Buying a pre-loved jacket instead of a new one can reduce demand for new clothing and help extend the life of existing garments.

It’s an easy way to make a small difference without giving up style. Honestly, a 1980s denim jacket usually has more character than anything off a big-box rack anyway.

Want to stretch your budget further? Set a spending limit before you walk in, then hunt for the best piece within it.

Prices vary by vendor, so comparing booths can help you find a winner. Shopping with a plan makes the whole experience feel smart, satisfying, and guilt-free in more ways than one.

Leash Up The Pup And Meet The Friendly Crew

Good news for dog people: well-behaved, leashed pups are welcome inside. Your four-legged shopping buddy doesn’t have to wait at home while you hunt for treasure.

Just keep the leash short around the racks and breakable decor. A happy tail can knock over a vintage vase faster than you can say oops.

The atmosphere is designed to feel welcoming. Staff members know their stuff, which helps a lot when you’re trying to figure out an era or a fit.

Need help putting together an outfit? Asking a knowledgeable person beats guessing, and it can turn a single item into a full look.

The shop also plays a real role in supporting the local creative community in Colorado Springs. Artists, makers, and curators all get a place to share their work and grow their businesses.

That sense of community shows up in small ways throughout the store. When you shop here, you’re helping keep local creative dreams alive and well.

I believe that’s worth more than any discount code. Plus, it’s hard to have a bad afternoon when friendly faces, cool clothes, and maybe a wagging tail are all involved.
